Grab some friends and head to your nearest Target to buy and then return salt. If not today, then any day soon works!

On January 8th, Customs and Border Protection assaulted and seized two US citizens while they were working a shift at the Richfield, MN Target store. Target is Minnesota’s leading corporate citizen. It is the 4th largest employer in the state. Minnesota’s sports teams play in stadiums and jerseys with Target’s logo on them. Where Target leads, others follow. We need Target to stand with Minnesotans against these attacks.
Watch this video for an ingenious way to pressure Target to change its public stance on ICE. Simply buy and then return some salt. Returns affect the corporate bottom line by draining resources without adding to profits. If a surge of Americans start buying and then immediately returning salt, the folks at Corporate Headquarters will take notice. Why salt? Because it melts ICE!

Continue to call your Senators!!
Demand that the Senate refuse to fund ICE and Border Patrol without serious reforms. You can find your Senators and their phone numbers at these links. (Afterwards, please add these phone numbers to your contacts for easy future dialing.) Ask your Senators to publicly oppose the DHS appropriations bill unless it:

Strengthens restrictions on ICE and Border Patrol’s ability to conduct dragnet arrest operations and target people based on their race, language or accent, place of employment, or location at the time of the apprehension;
Ends Border Patrol deployment to our cities and rejects its ever-expanding mandate in immigration enforcement; and
Limits DHS's reprogramming and transfer authority, including specifically preventing reprogramming and transferring funds for detention.
