Hello wonderful IndiMarin members!
Across the country, authoritarian forces are growing bolder and more dangerous. Trump and his allies are not hiding their agenda: mass deportations, rollbacks of civil rights, weaponized courts, and full-scale attacks on our democracy.
We can stop this, but it’ll take all of us -- not just on single days of mass action, but by organizing every day, in every community. Please consider participating in the following three ways!
Next week, Indivisible National is kicking off One Million Rising, a program to train one million people in strategic non-cooperation, plus the basics of community organizing and campaign design. You could be one of those million. Sign up for the One Million Rising virtual sessions on July 16, July 30, and August 13 to join 1,000,000+ Americans training to lead the fight against fascism.
We recommend that you sign up for all three One Million Rising sessions, even if you cannot attend them live. Each training will be recorded to be viewed on demand, and the best way to ensure you receive the recordings is registering on Mobilize.
WEEKLY "WHAT'S THE PLAN" with Indivisible Co-founders
We also encourage you to stay informed by the strategic insights and guidance of Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin on a weekly basis. Every Thursday at 12 pm PT/3pm ET, they carve out an hour to discuss what’s happening and – more importantly – what’s the plan. Sign up to attend every Thursday at noon PT. Or if you can’t make the meetings live, you can catch up on their YouTube channel at your convenience. It’s an hour well spent every week.
NEXT DAY OF NATIONAL ACTION - JULY 17
On July 17, the fifth anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’ passing, tens of thousands of Americans will come together to “make good trouble” in response to the Trump Administration’s attacks on our civil and human rights.
Click here to find Good Trouble Lives On demonstrations that you can join on Thursday, July 17 -- and make a plan to march in peace and act in power!
The onslaught of news, the chaos coming out of the White House – it’s all meant to overwhelm us. It’s a deliberate strategy to sow confusion and make us believe we are powerless to fight back.
The antidote: Coming together in community to process what’s happening, to sift through what’s important and what’s just noise, and coalesce around strategies for fighting back.
