Thank you for you interest in participating in our Writing Program! We offer a broad range of ways to participate - both at home on your own, in person local events, a virtual event, or as a postcard party host. Our current programs are listed below but we constantly fine tune our offering with the races where our team can make the most impact. Together with our postcarding partner, Activate America, we offer campaigns in the most competitive midterm House and Senate races, as well as major state referendum elections. Activate America is the one of the largest and oldest postcarding organizations in the country and focus on research based and established best practices. We have partnered with them for 10 years and are excited about the races we will be targeting together in 2026.

We will not be writing in support of specific Democratic candidates until after the primary unless they are incumbents not being challenged.

CURRENT CAMPAIGNS

  • Virginia Special Election: In April voters in Virginia will have the opportunity to pass new temporary congressional maps that will be in place for the midterms and increase seats for Democrats. This election is in response to the new maps that Republicans will create legislatively in Florida this spring. Similar to California’s Proposition 50, Virginia voters must vote to approve maps after a relatively short campaign….just a few months. We are writing to Democrats who are likely to support this measure but not be aware of it. The deadline is April 8th.

    • NOTE: There is an option to print out labels with the election information contained in the script. A template and full instructions are in the campaign instructions. Please note that this is entirely optional and you are free to hand write this information if you prefer.

VIRTUAL POSTCARDING AT HOME - All locations
Our postcarding team partner Activate America uses Sincere, an online distribution system. Once you have created your account with Sincere, you will have 24 hour access to our campaigns. Requests for addresses and scripts are filled immediately via email. You will have the ability to track your work, as well as our team’s progress.

How to Get Started:

  1. Please follow this link to join our team.

  2. You will quickly receive an email invitation to open your Sincere account with Activate America. Please check your spam/promotion folder if you do not receive the email in your inbox.

  3. Follow the invitation prompts to register with Sincere and create your password.

  4. Once registered, please click on "Campaigns" and select your campaign, then the number of addresses.

  5. Your requested addresses and the script can be immediately downloaded via your Sincere page or the email response you will receive.

  6. You will need to purchase your own supplies and postage. Links to order are here.


POSTCARD GATHERINGS IN MARIN COUNTY
It’s fun to gather and write together! We meet every Tuesday each month from 10 - 11:30 AM PT at Panera Bread in the Vintage Oaks mall in Novato. All materials are provided. There is a $5 cost per person to cover postage and supplies for 10 postcards. Bring a friend! RSVP here to join us!

ZOOM TRAINING
Introduction to Postcarding via Zoom: Are you interested in writing postcards to help Democrats win in the November midterms but not sure how to get started? Join our Writing Team at this special event and hear about the basics of postcarding! We will talk about why postcarding is an effective campaign tool and how you can get started with our programs.
