Walk, Knock, and Talk to Voters
One of the most compelling advantages of door-to-door canvassing is the ability to establish a personal connection with voters. By engaging in direct conversations on their doorsteps, canvassers can build rapport and establish trust, creating a lasting impression that resonates far more deeply than an online interaction or a generic campaign advertisement. It is by far the most effective outreach of any campaign technique.
Early in the election cycle before primaries and general election match-ups are decided, we focus on Deep Canvassing. These conversations are focused on issues and voter thoughts and opinions, rather than on candidates. Voter registration is also included.
CURRENT CALIFORNIA CANVASSING:
IndiMarin is recruiting California-based volunteers to canvass in CA -13 for Adam Grey and in CA-22 (candidate pending the June primary) with two key partners: the California Democratic Party (CADEM) and Bay Area Coalition (BAC). They offer carpooling support and onsite complete training. Dates include voter registration and door-to -door conversations in Fresno, Merced, Modesto, and Patterson. Exact dates and times will vary month to month. Click here for a complete calendar.
