We’re showing up on March 28 to demonstrate and say: IN AMERICA, WE HAVE NO KINGS.
In less than two weeks, people across the country (and allies around the world) will gather again for what will be the largest peaceful protest in U.S. history. In Marin, we’re getting ready with a countywide mobilization!
Here’s what to know and how to plan:
FIRST - Choose your NO KINGS site!
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Rather than one large gathering at the Civic Center, this will be a countywide mobilization consisting of 20+ live protest sites at highly visible and active locations throughout Marin. These sites will each light up with protestors at or near the same time. You can choose a site near you on MOBILIZE.
WHY 20+ sites? Because Marin is geographically spread out, a coalition of grassroots organizers are strategizing and coordinating together to implement a “distributed” day of action with these goals in mind:
Create a highly visible, unified critical mass action all across Marin, capturing the eyes and attention of less engaged residents
Think of it like a ribbon of protestors strewn all across the county!
You won’t be able to drive anywhere in Marin without seeing NO KINGS action!
Amplify our NO KINGS! NO ICE! NO WAR! message
Inspire others in Marin to join our people powered NO KINGS movement
Inspire others to take actions to support our vulnerable communities, stay informed, use their voice, and push back on the lawlessness and cruelty of the Trump regime
We’re stronger together, and when others see you take action, you inspire others to do the same!
SECOND - Invite (bribe?) at least three people who have never protested to join you at a site on March 28:
Help us achieve Marin’s 3.5% population peaceful protest number

Have conversations with friends, family members, neighbors, others to share what you’re doing - encourage them to make a sign and just show up - it’s that simple!
Indivisible National is even hosting an upcoming free virtual Community Call on how to do just that:
THIRD - Make a plan:
Site hosts will each have a stash of “NO KINGS” protest signs to share, which will be first come, first serve
We encourage you to make one just in case – the more, the merrier!
Plan to carpool, rideshare, walk or bike to your site
Be sure to look up in advance where you can park near your site if you plan to drive
Plan for your own comfort
Use the bathroom before leaving the house
Bring something to drink to stay hydrated
Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather
Bring a foldout chair or mobility aid if standing for an hour or more is difficult
Plan to get loud and proud!
Wear a costume. Bring noise makers! (Cow bells, whistles, kazoos, paddle drums, etc.) - whatever helps generate enthusiasm and amplify your voice!
Know Your Rights - For those interested, Indivisible National is hosting free Community Call informational sessions for No Kings Attendees:

EXTRA CREDIT
Do you know someone with a truck?
We encourage those with trucks to decorate them with NO KINGS! NO ICE! NO WARS! messaging or signs, American flags, and other PRO Democracy paraphernalia on March 28 and drive throughout the county, pass the various site locations, honk, and generate enthusiasm with protestors and others. Let’s really show the Trump regime that in Marin, there are NO KINGS!
Volunteer!
Feel inspired to help? NO KINGS volunteers will act as site lead host support and safety ambassadors. It’s a great role for people who care. Deescalation training and support is available. If interested, please complete this form.

PLEASE NOTE:
This is a no-host event. An ad hoc group of citizen volunteers are facilitating this opportunity for Marin residents to peacefully and safely assemble in line with their First Amendment rights.
A core principle behind all No Kings and Marin protest events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
All participants agree to assume 100% responsibility for their own safety, conduct and well-being. Please review this guide, “How To Protest Safely” in advance.
LET'S SHOW UP IN HUGE NUMBERS, MARIN! NO KINGS! NO ICE! NO WAR!
