We wanted to share an important announcement to kick off the long Memorial Day weekend!

As you likely have read, June 14 is Flag Day and Trump’s birthday—and he’s throwing himself a $45 million military-style birthday bash. With our tax dollars. In response, Indivisible National and a broad national coalition are organizing NO KINGS - a nationwide Day of Defiance.

Here in Marin, we don’t do kings!

We're excited to announce that Marin is uniting to say, "NO KINGS. YES TO THE PEOPLE!" As part of the nationwide mobilization, local grassroots groups in Marin County are coordinating a massive, county-wide protest with 20+ protests planned all across Marin. Sites have been strategically selected for their high traffic volume and visibility. Together, it will be one loud, visible, united stand against Trump’s grift and power grab.

This distributed and coordinated protest strategy across multiple sites at the same time aims to achieve the following:

Offer flexibility and choice for individuals to select an accessible NO KINGS site that they prefer
Keep safety a top priority and mitigate overcrowding and traffic congestion in any one location
Increase the scope and ability to double the participation number from the Hands Off! rally on April 5th and attract 10,000 or more protestors from Sausalito to Novato, from San Rafael to Point Reyes, and all points in between.

WHAT TO BRING:

Make your own protest sign:

- Cut a **heart-shaped sign** from poster board (a good size is around 18x24" or larger)

- Write: **“NO KINGS, YES _______”** (Fill in the blank with what you believe in— like democracy, healthcare, education, social security, the law, the people, etc.)

Get bold and creative. This country needs more love for people—not billionaires.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. All participants agree to assume 100% responsibility for their own safety, conduct and well-being.
