Wine & Sign: Postcarding to Flippable Districts

Join other progressives and help keep our democracy alive by writing postcards to voters in "flippable" congressional districts. Postcarding is fun, easy and uplifting! We provide all the materials so just bring yourself!

We are currently writing to voters in CA-25 where a young, promising Democrat candidate, Katie Hill, is challenging second-term Republican incumbent Steve Knight. Katie has a progressive campaign platform and an impressive list of endorsements, and pollsters think she has an excellent chance of flipping this House seat blue. Come help us inspire Democrats to vote for Katie on November 6th!

We hold postcard events twice a month.  Visit our website calendar for future dates. Please free to email indivisiblemarin@gmail.com with any questions.

2018 Marin National Drive Electric Week Car and Test Drive Event

The Golden Gate Electric Vehicle Association is presenting the 2018 Marin National Drive Electric Week electric car show and test drive event.

The event will feature test drives in many of the new models of electric cars available to Marin drivers.  Electric car drivers will be there to share how much they love the fast acceleration and the quiet, smooth, and powerful performance and superior handling of their cars. In addition to the opportunity to test drive and compare cars in a no-hassle setting and win prizes and gifts, drivers will learn how much money they can save by driving electric.

Most Marin drivers charge their cars at home while they sleep and enjoy the convenience of never going to a gas station.  With all of the demands on families today, having the most convenient, efficient, safest, economical and environmentally friendly car with the latest technology is a real benefit.

Thanks to our hosts Bon Air, our major sponsor Transportation Authority of Marin Measure B Vehicle Registration Fee, and to MCE Clean Energy and PG&E for their support.

July Indivisible Marin General Membership Meeting - Location Change

  • Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marin (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The RSVP response to our July Membership meeting invitation was tremendous and in response, we have changed both the venue and the format. The new location is the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marin at 240 Channing Way in San Rafael. We will be meeting in the Fireside Room. Upon arrival, head across the outdoor patio area to the right of the church, and you will see the entrance.

At the meeting, we will provide you with an overview of our strategy to ensure that every hour spent by each of our volunteers will be as impactful as possible toward our collective goal of winning back Congress on November 6th. We will also have an introduction to textbanking and write postcards to voters.

There will be an optional orientation for new members at 6:30 PM to cover some background on our history, structure and operating philosophy, as well as that of Indivisible National.

There is no need to bring your tickets. They are just a quirk of the EventBrite platform that can’t be disabled.

Thank you for stepping up and engaging in this fight. Together we will take back Congress - once phone call, once text message, one postcard and one voter at a time.

Should you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us at indivisiblemarin@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

Marin's "Families Belong Together" Vigil

Please RSVP to attend the vigil. Tickets are free but we need to have an accurate headcount.

In protest of the Trump Administration's cruel and inhumane policy of separating children from their parents at the border, the Marin community will gather for a vigil on World Refugee Day. Please join us as we come together in protest and song. We will hear from public officials, community leaders, and affected residents, and learn about opportunities for action. We will send you an email with the exact location as soon as possible.

Please bring signs as desired. Flameless candles will be provided to all participants.

We are coming together to demonstrate our opposition to this horrific new policy. Bring your families and tell your friends. Together we can bring an end to this practice that violates American values.

The vigil has been organized by local groups concerned about the administration’s immigration policies, including Indivisible Marin, Indivisible Sausalito, Marin County People Power, Novato Stands United, REsisters and SURJ Marin. Activist and faith-based groups across Marin have joined in support of this effort.

Indivisible Marin's Benefit to Take Back Congress

Any veteran campaign strategist will tell you that knocking on doors is THE single most effective campaign tactic. But in a blue county like Marin, we have to hit the road to participate. To help more Marin residents do so, Indivisible Marin is hosting a Benefit and Silent Auction on June 3rd to raise funds to offer travel stipends to Marin volunteers who want to canvas in red districts. RSVP today to join us on June 3rd from 3 PM - 5:30 PM at the Corte Madera Community Center.

At the event, you can peruse and bid on auction items while socializing with friends in the Marin community over wine, cheese and live music. Our motivating keynote speaker, Donnie Fowler of Democracy Labs, will get us "fired up and ready to go" before we wrap up the afternoon by announcing which lucky bidders will take home a prize. It will be a fun event for a great cause!! We hope to see you there!
